Baseball Recap: Honey Grove Beats Bonham for Their Third Straight Victory

Honey Grove barely beat Bonham the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Honey Grove put the hurt on Bonham with a sharp 7-1 win on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Honey Grove as they're now sitting on three straight.

Jarrmez Daniels was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Daniels was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Austin Freeman, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Brody Mahan was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple and one stolen base.

Honey Grove hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

Honey Grove now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bonham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
