Volleyball Game Preview: Pius XI Catholic Popes vs. Shorewood Greyhounds

Pius XI Catholic is 7-1 against Shorewood since September of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Popes will take on the Greyhounds. Pius XI Catholic will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Pius XI Catholic beat Brown Deer 3-1.

Pius XI Catholic was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 18-25, 25-23.

Lilly Walsh and Zoey Bucio were among the main playmakers for Pius XI Catholic as the former had 30 assists and 12 digs and the latter had 14 digs. Those 12 digs gave Walsh a new career-high.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Shorewood rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Hawks.

Pius XI Catholic's record now sits at 22-18. As for Shorewood, their record is now 15-16.
