Madonna waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They put the hurt on the East Liverpool Potters with a sharp 13-1 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Dons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

David Connors was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four matches. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

In other batting news, Mathew Geer was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lazear, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

Madonna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Liverpool only posted an OBP of .238.

Madonna pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for East Liverpool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Madonna didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Oak Glen on the 16th. As for East Liverpool, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 19-3 defeat against Harrison Central on the 16th.
