Basketball Recap: Palmer Chase's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Wake Forest over Heritage

Wake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a hard 74-59 fall against the Heritage Huskies. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 51-41 last Wednesday.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Palmer Chase, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards gave Chase a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Juel Tillery, who posted 13 points and five assists.

Wake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Heritage, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-10.

Wake Forest will square off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wake Forest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season. As for Heritage, they will face off against Knightdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
