Baseball Recap: St. Mary Catholic Find Success

St. Mary Catholic was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ozaukee on Saturday. The Zephyrs never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Zephyrs considering their one-run performance the game before.

Mason Wagner was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Pirillo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

St. Mary Catholic now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ozaukee, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, St. Mary Catholic will take on Reedsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Zephyrs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Ozaukee, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Howards Grove at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th.
