Basketball Recap: Joaquin Takes a Loss

Joaquin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Tenaha Tigers, falling 91-31. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by exactly 60 points.

Joaquin's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trenton Runnels, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Conner Rios, who scored six points.

Joaquin's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Tenaha, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-7.

Joaquin will face off against Timpson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tenaha, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Tenaha Tigers face off against the Waskom Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Tenaha's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
