Soccer Recap: Hidalgo Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Hidalgo entered their tilt with IDEA North Mission on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand IDEA North Mission a 1-0 shutout. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw IDEA North Mission, too.

Hidalgo pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those five matchups. As for IDEA North Mission, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hidalgo will welcome Vanguard Academy Rembrandt at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vanguard Academy Rembrandt's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
