Basketball Recap: Rockwell Christian School Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 31-31 at halftime, Rockwell Christian School was not quite Faith Christian's equal in the second half on Thursday. They were beaten by the Faith Christian Eagles 71-39. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 564th, while the Eagles are ranked 231st).

Rockwell Christian School's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Faith Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwell Christian School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodland Baptist Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. After both having extra time off, Faith Christian and Cramerton Christian Academy will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Faith Christian has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 194 points over their last three matches.
