Soccer Game Preview: Tipton-Rosemark Academy vs. St. Benedict at Auburndale

The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the St. Benedict at Auburndale Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tipton-Rosemark Academy's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Sunday, Tipton-Rosemark Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Trinity Christian Academy and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Benedict at Auburndale). They were the clear victor by a 6-2 margin over Harding Academy on Tuesday. With that win, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 2.6 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Harding Academy from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jack Hyden led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Benedict at Auburndale and bumps their season record up to 3-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two games. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2-1.
