Volleyball Recap: Peniel Baptist Academy Triumphs

Peniel Baptist Academy won the last time they faced Riverside Christian and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors walked away with a 3-1 win over the Wranglers.

Peniel Baptist Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-10.

Shanley Jenkins was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had ten kills and seven digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Annie Brantley, who had four blocks and three aces.

Peniel Baptist Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Riverside Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Peniel Baptist Academy will be playing at home against St. Joseph Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Riverside Christian, they will challenge Temple Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
