There's no place like home for King, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the North Shore Mustangs on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

While King won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13, 30-28.

Their offense was headlined by Jacelyn Smith and C'Ani Jones, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Dawn Parrish and her 31 assists. Meaghan Stewart and Karen Jones kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

King's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for North Shore, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season.

King will square off against Channelview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Shore, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Summer Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight.
