Volleyball Recap: Mountain Heritage Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McDowell, Mountain Heritage was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the North Buncombe Black Hawks with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Black Hawks: they've now won five in a row.

Mountain Heritage never let North Buncombe on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-23.

Mountain Heritage's offense was headlined by Amelia Huckabee and Maggie Neil, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Halle Alexander and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
