Baseball Game Preview: Linfield Christian Lions vs. Ontario Christian Knights

The Linfield Christian Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Ontario Christian Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ontario Christian took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Linfield Christian, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, Linfield Christian earned a 7-3 win over Rancho Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Noah Getz looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Linfield Christian's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Drew Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Taylor has posted since back in March of 2024. Carson DeGrave was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run.

Meanwhile, Ontario Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Arrowhead Christian on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Ontario Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Linfield Christian, their win bumped their record up to 13-5-1.

Linfield Christian might still be hurting after the 11-2 defeat they got from Ontario Christian in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
