Softball Recap: Aragon Dons vs. Woodside Wildcats
If Aragon was feeling good fresh off their 19-3 takedown of Burlingame last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Aragon took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Woodside Wildcats on Thursday. The Dons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.
Destiny Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Olivia Mukherjee, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Aragon's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Woodside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aragon will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on San Mateo at 4:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Woodside, they will venture away from home to square off against Menlo-Atherton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
