Basketball Game Preview: East Mecklenburg Eagles vs. Sun Valley Spartans + How To Watch

East Mecklenburg is 1-8 against Sun Valley since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Sun Valley took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on East Mecklenburg, who comes in off a win.

East Mecklenburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 62-58 win over Shelby on Friday.

East Mecklenburg found their leader in sophomore Alana Jones, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 8.8 rebounds per game. Jurnee Darling was another key player, putting up 12 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Sun Valley had to suffer through a 71-15 loss at the hands of Butler.

Sun Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for East Mecklenburg, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

East Mecklenburg couldn't quite get it done against Sun Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024 as they fell 61-53. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
