            Softball Recap: Delaware Valley Warriors vs. Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns        
        
		
        
        
            After low-scoring totals in their previous four  match, Delaware Valley brought some dynamite into their most recent  game. They came out on top against the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns by a score of  10-7  on Friday. Considering the Warriors' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
 Emily Sullivan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and three unearned) runs on five hits.
 At the plate,  Ashlynn McCardle was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Shannon Eby, who  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI.

Delaware Valley pushed their record up to 10-6 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Wallenpaupack Area, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delaware Valley will square off against Scranton at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Warriors are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on  a  13-game losing streak. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they will challenge North Pocono at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Buckhorns 3.8, the Trojans 3.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
