Baseball Recap: Burlington City Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Burlington City was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They came up short against the Medford Tech Jaguars, falling 13-2. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 18-12.

Burlington City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Hosein, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Burlington City has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Medford Tech, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Burlington City will challenge Westampton Tech at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Medford Tech, they are taking a road trip to take on Moorestown Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Foxes have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Jaguars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
