Softball Recap: Lennard Takes a Loss

Lennard was the 8-1 winner over Jefferson when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Longhorns came up short against the Dragons on Thursday, falling 11-1.

Lennard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy McClain, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lennard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Lennard will host Blake at 10:00 a.m. on the 19th. As for Jefferson, they are taking a road trip to challenge Plant City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Dragons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season.
