Volleyball Recap: Indian Creek Gets the Win

Indian Creek won the last time they faced Brooke and things went their way on Thursday too. The Redskins won by a set and slipped past the Bruins 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (111-109) Indian Creek actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-22, 26-28, 26-24, 17-25, 15-12.

Cara Vandeborne paced Indian Creek's offense, picking up 24 kills. Vandeborne got some help from Gabby Taylor and her 36 assists. Vandeborne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Indian Creek's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Brooke, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Indian Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Union Local on the 1st. As for Brooke, they will welcome East Liverpool at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
