Millbrook is 8-2 against Sanderson since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Millbrook Wildcats will head out to take on the Sanderson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Sanderson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Millbrook, who comes in off a win.

Millbrook lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Heritage, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. Everything went Millbrook's way against Heritage on Tuesday as Millbrook made off with an 8-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won four matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Conner Thomas made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Thomas was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Strom, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Liam Clay was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Sanderson fell victim to Athens Drive and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Jaguars. The Spartans have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

Sanderson's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Millbrook, their record is now 8-1.

Millbrook took their victory against Sanderson in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millbrook since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
