Lovington won the last time they faced Santa Teresa, and things went their way on Friday too. The Lovington Wildcats breezed by the Santa Teresa Desert Warriors to the tune of 44-9. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico football rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Desert Warriors are ranked 60th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
