Softball Recap: Twin Rivers Find Success

Twin Rivers lost to Oran back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Twin Rivers came out on top in a nail-biter against Oran, sneaking past 6-5.

Alexis Parson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 17 Ks. Those 17 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Reagan Bader was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Katie Acre, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Twin Rivers' victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Oran, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Twin Rivers will square off against Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oran, they will face off against Neelyville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
