Basketball Recap: Anderson Takes a Loss

If Anderson was feeling good fresh off their 53-24 takedown of Cedar Creek last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Anderson Trojans lost 60-40 to the McCallum Knights on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 696th, while the Knights are ranked 213th).

Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-21. As for McCallum, they pushed their record up to 19-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Anderson will face off against Bastrop at 8:00 p.m. on January 31st. McCallum has already played their next contest (against Cedar Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
