Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Laniya Johnson and Zilazsha Johnson Lead Cummings to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seaforth, Cummings was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Graham Red Devils by a score of 38-28. That's more bragging rights for the Cavaliers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cummings was led to victory by ZiLazsha Johnson and Laniya Johnson. ZiLazsha posted 17 points, while Laniya put up 12 points.

Cummings' win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4. As for Graham, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chatham Central the next time they take the court. Graham will host Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Cummings will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
