Volleyball Game Preview: Andrean Fighting 59ers vs. Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors

The Andrean Fighting 59ers will head out on the road to face off against the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Andrean had won two straight home games and Dani Poskin did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Fighting 59ers blew past Highland 3-0 thanks in part to Poskin, who had 30 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 21 games she's played.

Andrean's got stronger as the match went on, holding Highland to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Hammond Bishop Noll made easy work of Gary West Side on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hammond Bishop Noll took every set by at least 19 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-4, 25-4.

Hammond Bishop Noll's victory bumped their record up to 18-13. As for Andrean, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

Andrean suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Hammond Bishop Noll when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Fighting 59ers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
