Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Soquel

If San Lorenzo Valley wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Soquel, they should've done a better job of containing Nico Ramirez. The Soquel Knights put the hurt on the San Lorenzo Valley Cougars with a sharp 78-55 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Ramirez, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points along with six boards and four steals. Those 29 points gave him a new career-high.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Soquel, bringing their record for this year to 8-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for San Lorenzo Valley, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9.

Soquel is taking a road trip to face off against Santa Cruz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Soquel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.
