Baseball Recap: Zephyrhills Comes Up Short

Zephyrhills and River Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Zephyrhills had to settle for second. They came up short against the Royal Knights, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Royal Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Zephyrhills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Stone, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for River Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Zephyrhills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for River Ridge, they will challenge Springstead at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
