Basketball Game Preview: Western Wayne Wildcats vs. Dunmore Bucks

Western Wayne hasn't had much luck against Dunmore recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Western Wayne Wildcats will welcome the Dunmore Bucks at 6:45 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Western Wayne is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They lost 54-29 to East Stroudsburg South. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 25 points.

Dunmore has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Scranton on Friday. The game marked the Bucks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dunmore's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Western Wayne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Western Wayne suffered a grim 51-30 defeat to Dunmore in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Western Wayne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
