Volleyball Recap: Innovation Academy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Innovation Academy not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Ayer Shirley Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Tailed Hawk.

Innovation Academy didn't let Ayer Shirley take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24, 26-24.

Mornireach Kong paced Innovation Academy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Kong got some help from Khang Bui and his 21 assists. Finally, Aarav Patel kept Innovation Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Innovation Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Nashoba Valley Tech on the 20th. As for Ayer Shirley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Nashoba Regional on the 21st.
