Football Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Clayton was riding high fresh off their 43-7 takedown of Smithfield-Selma last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets fell just short of the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs by a score of 22-19 on Friday. The Comets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Southeast Raleigh got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Freeman out in front who rushed for 113 yards and one TD while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. James Adams IV was another key back, rushing for 78 yards and one touchdown.

With the defeat, Clayton broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Southeast Raleigh, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 5-2.
