Recap: Lawrence North Wildcats vs. Carmel Greyhounds
The Lawrence North Wildcats came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 79-45 win over Carmel at home. Considering Lawrence North has won three games by more than 25 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lawrence North was led to victory by Naja Winston and Kya Hurt. Winston scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists, while Hurt scored 12 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals. Victoria Guyse was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Lawrence North pushed their record up to 5-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points per game. As for Carmel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lawrence North will face off against Castle at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Carmel's road trip will continue as they head out to face Richmond at 3:30 p.m. on December 2nd.
