Basketball Recap: Pharoahe Dixon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northern Highlands over Teaneck

Northern Highlands lost against Teaneck back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Northern Highlands Highlanders fell 78-68 to the Teaneck Highwaymen. The Highlanders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Northern Highlands lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Pharoahe Dixon, who went 7 for 11 en route to 23 points in addition to six boards and three blocks. The dominant performance gave Dixon a new career-high in blocks. Lucas Dipasupil was another key player, putting up 22 points.

Northern Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Teaneck, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northern Highlands will square off against Wayne Valley at 4:15 p.m. on February 4th. As for Teaneck, they will challenge Pascack Valley at 4:15 p.m. on February 4th.
