Softball Recap: Sunnyslope Takes a Loss

Sunnyslope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 11-8 to the Corona del Sol Aztecs.

Sophia Cotto and Sophia Pi?a did some serious damage despite the final result: Cotto scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Pi?a scored a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Sam Hyde, who scored a run while going 1-for-5.

Sunnyslope's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Corona del Sol, their record is now 13-8.

While Sunnyslope had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
