Basketball Recap: Sean Warren's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lakewood Presbyterian over Harvest Christian Academy

Lakewood Presbyterian lost against Harvest Christian Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lakewood Presbyterian Knights took a hard 54-40 fall against the Harvest Christian Academy Saints.

Lakewood Presbyterian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Warren, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Steven Montgomery, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Leading Harvest Christian Academy to victory were Logan Harrington and Ryan Colton. Harrington almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds, while Colton had 20 points and seven boards. Colton is becoming a predictor of Harvest Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Ellison, who put up seven points and three steals.

Lakewood Presbyterian's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Harvest Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Coincidentally, Lakewood Presbyterian and Harvest Christian Academy will both be playing Faith Lutheran the next time they take the court. Harvest Christian Academy will host Faith Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Lakewood Presbyterian will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
