Football Recap: KIPP Legacy Comes Up Short

KIPP Legacy extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 1-6. They took a blow against the Christ Prep Academy Patriots, falling 67-0. While losing is never fun, KIPP Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 300th in Missouri, while Christ Prep Academy is ranked 53rd in Kansas).

As for Christ Prep Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six contests by 25 points or more so far this season.

Justice Criniere had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 33 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 47 yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Another player making a difference was Seth Regan, who rushed for 55 yards and one score.

KIPP Legacy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-0 loss against Father Tolton on the 17th. As for Christ Prep Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-7 win against Oklahoma City Patriots HomeSchool on the 18th.
