Recap: Bordentown Scotties vs. Burlington City Blue Devils
The Bordentown Scotties's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They greeted the New Year with with a 66-51 win over Burlington City. For Bordentown, this counts as revenge for the 90-88 loss Burlington City walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bordentown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Myles Hansford, who scored 13 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Martin, who scored 17 points.
Bordentown's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6. As for Burlington City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bordentown will take on Trenton Catholic Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Trenton Catholic Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bordentown in New Jersey (Trenton Catholic Academy is ranked 115th, while Bordentown is ranked 282nd). Burlington City and Pemberton will face off at 5:15 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
