Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winnebago). They put the hurt on the Rockford Auburn Knights with a sharp 21-4 win on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Winnebago got a massive performance out of Joleigh Williams, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kyla Warkentien, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Winnebago kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Winnebago's record is now 8-9. As for Rockford Auburn, their record now sits at 9-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Knights beat Winnebago by a score of 12-2 later that day.
