Volleyball Recap: Millburn Millers vs. North Hunterdon Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Millburn had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Hunterdon Lions by a score of 2-0. The victory was familiar territory for the Millers who have now won nine matches in a row.
While Millburn won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23.
Divya Issac paced Millburn's offense, picking up seven kills. Issac got some help from
Franna Hawksworth and her 19 assists.
Ava Chen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Millburn's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-8. As for North Hunterdon, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 14-11 record.
