Volleyball Recap: Falconer Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Falconer had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Fredonia Hillbillies with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

One reason for the win was Falconer's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-16.

Mylie Zaranek paced Falconer's offense, picking up ten kills. Zaranek got some help from Reagan Trask and her 24 assists.

Falconer's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Fredonia, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Falconer will head out to square off against Allegany-Limestone at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fredonia, after both having extra time off, they and Olean will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
