Volleyball Recap: Mt. Vernon Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Suttyn Caughlan and Callie Swanson + How To Watch

The Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets came up short against the Dublin Coffman Shamrocks on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Mt. Vernon's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Callie Swanson, who had 12 assists and five digs, and Suttyn Caughlan, who had eight digs. Swanson is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Mt. Vernon's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Dublin Coffman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-9.

Mt. Vernon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Watkins Memorial on the 23rd. As for Dublin Coffman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against St. Francis DeSales on the 22nd.
