Soccer Game Preview: Marion vs. Governor's School for Science & Math

The Marion Swamp Foxes will face off against the Governor's School for Science & Math Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Marion's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Marion's offense. They came up short against Atlantic Collegiate Academy on Tuesday, falling 6-0.

Meanwhile, Governor's School for Science & Math's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Trinity Collegiate by a score of 1-0.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Governor's School for Science & Math, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Marion suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Governor's School for Science & Math when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Marion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
