Volleyball Recap: Tomball Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Klein Oak on Friday, Tomball came back down to earth. The Cougars came up short against the Tomball Memorial Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Cougars haven't been shut out since back in August.

Tomball was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 25-20.

Kaia Stricklin and Maddux Doty certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Stricklin had 13 assists and four digs, while Doty had five digs.

Tomball's defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 34-6. As for Tomball Memorial, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 25-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tomball is set to square off against their familiar foe Magnolia at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tomball Memorial will take on rival Magnolia West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
