Softball Game Preview: West Panthers vs. Brighton Bengals

The West Panthers will square off against the Brighton Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

West came up short against Providence Hall on Wednesday, falling 28-3.

Meanwhile, Brighton lost 9-3 to Bishop Kelly on Saturday. The Bengals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brighton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alison Nikolaus, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Brianne Christesen also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Brighton now has a losing record of 3-4. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

West was able to grind out a solid win over Brighton when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 7-3. Does West have another victory up their sleeve, or will Brighton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
