Basketball Game Preview: Delmar Wildcats vs. Laurel Bulldogs

Delmar and Laurel are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Delmar Wildcats will square off against the Laurel Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Delmar will be strutting in after a win while Laurel will be coming in after a loss.

Delmar is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Sussex Academy 54-36 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Laurel lost to Indian River on the road by a 45-30 margin on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Delmar, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Delmar came out on top in a nail-biter against Laurel when the teams last played back in December of 2024, sneaking past 28-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Delmar since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
