Basketball Game Preview: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Scott Beavers

Cimarron hasn't had much luck against Scott recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:00 p.m.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Cimarron challenged Colby two weeks ago. Cimarron might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Colby an easy 75-52 win. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Scott hadn't done well against Holcomb recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way two weeks ago. Scott skirted past Holcomb 54-52.

Scott's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Cimarron, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Cimarron ended up a good deal behind Scott in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, losing 59-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Scott's Eloy Ruelas, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points along with five assists and four steals.
