Baseball Recap: Perth Amboy Takes a Loss

Perth Amboy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Middlesex Bluejays, falling 15-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on Saturday.

Amauris Peguero made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Darielbis Ricard was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Perth Amboy's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Middlesex, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Perth Amboy will challenge Metuchen at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Middlesex will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' matchup: after the Panthers face off against Middlesex, they'll take on Middlesex again at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
