After a string of five wins, Oak Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 2-0 to the Pewaukee Pirates. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Isa Ruether paced Oak Creek's offense, picking up four kills. Ruether got some help from Julia Schneider and her five assists. Ruether also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Samantha Stikel, racking up two apiece.

Oak Creek's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Pewaukee, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Oak Creek has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Divine Savior Holy Angels on the 30th. Hopefully Pewaukee paid attention to the Knights' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Knights at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
