Volleyball Recap: Jose Pulido Key Part of Team Effort in Bulldogs Win

There's no place like home for Waukegan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Westlake Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Waukegan was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-11.

Waukegan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jose Pulido out in front who had six digs and four aces. Those six digs gave Pulido a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexander MIllan-Colin, who had 20 assists and four digs.

Waukegan pushed their record up to 17-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Westlake Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Waukegan has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Mundelein on the 14th. As for Westlake Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against North Chicago on the 15th.
