Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Nocona walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Archer City Wildcats on Thursday. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The win was the sixth in a row for Nocona, bringing their record up to 10-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Archer City, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
