Football Game Preview: Inchelium Hornets vs. Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats + How To Watch

The Inchelium Hornets will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Wilbur-Creston-Keller Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wilbur-Creston-Keller will be up against a hot Inchelium team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Hornets breezed past Wellpinit to the tune of 58-20 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hornets have posted against the Redskins since September 23, 2016.

It was another big night for Derek Perez, who rushed for 98 yards and three scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 232 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Inchelium's leading receiver Gaige Stensgar was Perez's top target yet again, picking up 105 receiving yards and two TDs.

Inchelium didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Stensgar.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on Mary Walker with a sharp 54-30 win on Friday. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Chargers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Inchelium's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wilbur-Creston-Keller, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Inchelium has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 375 total yards per game. However, it's not like Wilbur-Creston-Keller struggles in that department as they've been averaging 436 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.

Inchelium was taken down by Wilbur-Creston-Keller 70-40 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Thankfully for the Hornets, Preston Michel (who rushed for 310 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also picked up 67 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
